Shabbat in Lincoln not Jerusalem this week

It appears that the storm on the East coast will be keeping me from catching a flight to Jerusalem tomorrow. The plane I was planning to take is now overbooked in the back. I'm disappointed that I won't be spending Shabbat with my Israeli grandkids, but I'm looking forward to participating in services at our shul instead. Rifka Keilson will help lead part of Friday evening's service. Noah Weiss, Ken Bloom, and Bob Evnen are going to lead parts of the davening on Shabbat morning. Al Weiss will give the D'var Torah. When I think about it, it isn't much different in Jerusalem on Shabbat. There are many tiny shuls in the city that utilize their congregants to lead the davening.
Who knows, maybe it will feel like a "taste of Jerusalem" this Shabbat even with the snow on the ground!
