As the economy is still placing burdens on families in our community, our own food bank at Tifereth Israel is being used. I was delighted yesterday morning to find sacks of food items left in the back hallway alcove that could be added to our food bank shelves. Several congregants have also purchased grocery store gift cards that I keep in my possession to give to families in need from our congregation. Those gift cards have also been used. This mitzvah project is truly one that makes a difference in the lives of others. Don't forget to contribute to our food bank if you can.
