It's interesting how much walking one can do here in Israel and not on a treadmill! Oddly enough, walking doesn't seem out of place here. Getting around by foot is actually an excellent way to look at all the surrounding sites, get up close to the multitudes of people also out on the streets. Right now, tourism is doing well in Israel and the tourists run the gamut in terms of age. Of course as Charlie and I were sitting in a restaurant last night, relishing our time here in Israel with fellow congregant, Ken Greenfield, his first words out of his mouth were, "We should try to set up a tour of Israel for our congregation." Actually, although my initial reaction was, "Seriously?" I think such a plan would be something to consider if we had enough individuals wanting to join in. Let me know, if a trip to "Ha-Aretz" is on your bucket list! We could make it happen!!!
