The Science of Climate Change and Global Warming

Last night, members of our shul and the South Street Temple, joined together to hear Dr. Al Weiss, emeritus professor, present a lecture about the science of climate change and global warming. Al's presentation was wonderful. He made the topic understandable and answered all of our questions. He did show us with his data that global warming is influenced by human activity. Now as a Jewish community, it would seem that we need to think about what part we play in that problem. It is incumbent upon us as Jews to be "shomrei adamah", guardians of the Earth.
