New Megillah to Be Unveiled at Purim Next Sunday

My daughter-in-law, Nava Levine-Coren, has written a megillah that I am going to donate to our Synagogue in loving memory of my parents Esther Rae and Leon Chesnin.
Nava is one of 10-20 women who have been trained as a soferet (scribe). So this new megillah, will be the first one that Tifereth Israel has had in its collection that was written by a woman. The megillat Esther will be used on the morning of Purim when we gather at 9:30 in the morning to listen to the required reading. Please come and see this beautiful scroll and listen to this very important story.

  1. Nancy,
I am looking forward to hearing the megillah written by Nava. I hope to find Elihu's gigantic grogger by Sunday morning. :-)
